To Foul or Not to Foul

Hello Basketball Players

It was brought to my attention that there were intentional fouls committed in order to prevent the other team from scoring. This especially happened when the games were close to winding down and teams were up by 1 point. This tactic prevented the other team from scoring and tying it up or winning the game.

This is a big no no in Gracepoint IM's. Here at GFC Im's we try to play fair and with integrity.

To ensure this happens I have no other choice but to enforce a new rule.

Let me first define an intentional foul in my book. An INTENTIONAL FOUL is when the defender fouls the person WITHOUT EVEN TRYING to steal, block or go for the ball.

The Rule:
  • During anytime before one minute is left in the game, every intentional foul will be rewarded a free throw.
  • During the last minute of the game any intentional foul will be rewarded one point
Please adhere to these rules and captains please use good and fair judgment.

Thanks!!

After the free-throw or point awarded, the possession of the ball does not change, right? Just want to clarify. Thanks.
